Physiotherapist (BSc)

Towards a lighter, more pain-free body
As a physiotherapist my work centres on preventing and rehabilitating musculoskeletal conditions. My methods include manual therapy — fascia treatment, soft-tissue work, tension–relaxation techniques and joint mobilisation. Therapeutic exercise and physical therapies are often part of the treatment too.
I am also trained as a MyFascia therapist and treat a range of pain conditions with fascia techniques. In MyFascia therapy we locate the problem areas and systematically release them with trigger-point techniques. The idea is that everything in the body affects everything else, and the body is treated along its fascial lines. Working on the head, neck and jaw muscles, for instance, has produced clear benefits for people with migraine. In the limbs and back, fascia techniques help increase mobility, ease pain and improve force transfer.
In the fitness field I have trained as a PhysioTrainer. My strengths are lifestyle factors and people who exercise with a musculoskeletal condition in the background. Exercise is for everyone, and there is always a way to move that leaves both body and mind feeling lighter.
